I spent my last trip to Maui with my film camera only. The beach at dawn using Portra 400 and without any post editing.

I found this interesting shot on the back side of Morro Bay while having a film day.
Occasionally I like to shoot film, it’s just fun. This restaurant is in old town Cottonwood, AZ and was the site of a family gathering prior to my niece’s wedding. I was watching the moon move from left to right and used a bear glass for a tripod.
I took my Mamyia 7 out for a early morning walk yesterday and thought I would post this for a change of pace from all the recent Palouse photos.
This was taken at sunset with cross lighting using my Mamiya 7 and Fuji Velvia 50. It very much represents the look and feel of Palouse.
I found this while driving in a remote area of Nipomo, CA and thought it would be a good subject for medium format film.
I was in Sedona, Arizona last week during the extreme heat and forest fires. The combination created grey hazy sky’s and any chance of getting decent color photos of the chapel and rod rock country went up in smoke. It was a good opportunity, however, to continue to experiment with black and white film.
This photo is special to me for a couple of reasons. First, having it snow on the Central Coast of California is very rare. Secondly, it was taken with Fuji Velvia 50. I have never used this film and wanted to see for myself what it was like. I was driving to Santa Barbara this morning to drop off the role for developing and had one frame left. One of those lucky things. It was scanned at 1800 with a Plustek 8100.
