I’ve posted several landscapes from my recent fly fishing and photo trip to Montana but none of the fish. So just to prove to all of you that follow my blog, I do fish and occasionally catch them. This beauty was caught on a fly, played gently, and carefully released as are all the fish I catch.
Montana
Cottonwoods Turn
The day after the snow storm these wonderful puffy clouds and blue sky came back to highlight the changing colors of a cottonwood tree.
Montana October Storm
By 11:00 AM on the day it snowed the mountains in the background were completely covered and these low hanging black clouds were nearly at ground level. The Brown Trout fishing was pretty good. They like cold weather..
The Weather Turns
Got out at first light on our third day in Montana to watch the snow begin to dust the ranch. A cold day ahead.
Buckingham Lake
I had the pleasure of fly fishing this small colorful lake last week in Montana. We caught and released several very nice brook trout.
Smith River
I’m back home after spending a week at the Bar Z Ranch in Montana. The weather was cold and colder. I’ll post a series of photos starting with this simple view of the Smith River.
