I have been using film a little more lately and this was shot with Kodak Ektar 100 at the first sign of light.

Avila Bay Morning
Avila Bay is not far from where I live and I need to get out there more often. I have a photographer friend who calls it “his office”. I used a little longer exposure to slightly blur the water.
Bell Rock Light
Bell Rock may be the place I have photographed the most. Every time I visit Sedona I spend a little time there. This morning brought clear skies and very cold temperatures. The goal was to catch the slanting light with the rock in the background.
Golden Express
Out early this morning to capture the barn you see in the right of this photo. While taking the gear out of the car I heard the Amtrak coming. I was able to get the tripod and camera in place as it went by from right to left. Not something I would have planed to do in advance but with the train and sun hitting each other at that moment I thought it was worthy of a post.
Lanai
The rising sun just hitting Lanai this morning. Taken from this rocky beach on Ka’anapali.
Kaanapali Beach
I’m visiting Maui again and took a early morning walk along the shore. The catamarans in the backgrount take the snorkelers out each day to the various reefs.
Shoreline
Early morning sun is painting the clouds a little pink in this long exposure shot.
Star Rise
I was up early today and hiked to a favorite spot. It’s mornings like these that makes me so happy to be on this glorious earth.
Avila Morning
I’m home for a while and have been going out to some favorite local spots. This is Avila Bay at first light using a 90 sec exposure.
Mt. Shasta
During our drive home from Palouse the timing worked out that the sun was coming up on Mt Shasta. Couldn’t resist one of those iconic shots.
