Depending on your location and the time of year the rising sun can create some real drama.
Arizona
Good Morning
Each morning on Lake Powell brought new light depending on clouds and the location of our camp sites.
Lake Powell Sheep
We were cruising the canyons on jet skis when we came upon this small group of wild sheep coming for water. They were a bit suspicious but not afraid.
Reflection Canyon
Early mornings on Lake Powell are so tranquil. There has been no watercraft traffic or winds to stir up the water.
West Canyon
Red Rock Crossing
I’ve taken photos here many times and this was a recent cold spring morning.
Sedona Sunset
I’ve probably posted more photos of Sedona and Arizona than any other area I travel. It’s vary hard to find more interesting and colorful landscapes.
Sedona on Film
I have been using film a little more lately and this was shot with Kodak Ektar 100 at the first sign of light.
Oak Creek Roots
Lower Oak Creek is south of Sedona, AZ and there is a hiking trail from the highway to the creek. I took some photos in the area 4 years ago and went back earlier this month and found this old sycamore tree still hanging on.
Bell Rock and TriX
This shot was part of a recent film set and I can never resist photographing my favorite rock. Not sure B&W does it justice but it was a dark and stormy day.
